My boyfriend is genuinely a good person. He remembers my exam schedule without being asked, shows up with poha when I'm stressed, and once took two buses to bring me cold coffee because I mentioned it casually. He also comments "🔥🔥🔥" under every male cricketer's gym post. Not one fire emoji. Three. Yesterday I asked him why he never comments like that on my photos. He said, "Because you already know you look good." I have been thinking about this answer for seventy-two hours. On one hand: romantic. On the other hand: Virat Kohli gets three fire emojis and I get assumed confidence? I did not consent to being the secure girlfriend in this relationship. My friends say I'm overthinking. They said this while watching his Instagram activity alongside me, so I don't know whose side they're on. I just want to know: is a sweet, emotionally available boyfriend who is also deeply invested in male athletes' fitness journeys a green flag? Is this the future? Is this fine? Please advise. I have a paper due Thursday and I cannot focus.
